Innovative Knowledgeable Fashion Designer & Consultant for New Projects!
I have been involved in the fashion industry in some capacity for over 15 years.
I initially developed my merchandising career while working within the design & buy department of Australasia's largest children's wear company and acquired valuable skills and timeliness for following the critical path, from conception to in-store release.
I later released my own lingerie line at New Zealand Fashion Week and sold into the country's leading department stores and lingerie boutiques before taking the brand to London and selling into Topshop's flagship store. At this stage I manufactured in both England and China, liaising between agents, factories and outsourcers. I next worked in marketing and PR, representing some of the UK's finest street-wear brands, as well as leading surf-wear brands from Australia. It was also while in Sydney that I held a fashion exhibition sponsored by Absolut Vodka before relocating to New York City where I was hired as a fashion consultant and gained numerous freelance clients, ranging from start-ups to established businesses wanting to expand their product line and including everything from lingerie, swimwear, street-wear, modest wear (Muslim and Jewish), club/festival wear, womenswear, menswear and accessories. I also had a hand in creating, cutting and pressing vinyl print slogans onto my own designed and manufactured t-shirts, in keeping with the New York hip hop vibe.
Currently I am living in California and have a lifestyle brand that I'm producing here and partly manufacturing in Vietnam, so I'm becoming fluent on both coasts fashion and garment districts. I'm wanting to gain further freelance projects in North America and offshore, bringing my innovative vision, palatable aesthetic and efficient design, production and sourcing skills to companies that have a clear plan in place for their business and are seeking fresh ideas, a steady workflow and quality-made garments.
