Creative Blog Writer and Editor for the Business World

Technical writing has taught me accuracy, succinct prose, and great interviewing skills. I’ve always specialized in writing for lay audiences. My slogan is “It’s not over your head.”

Working as a Web Content Manager has honed my ability to work with cross-functional teams to develop business specifications for interactive applications. I’ve worked in high-tech (Apple Computer), low-tech (Alameda Contra Costa Transportation), and points in between.

Blogging since 2003, I have developed a number of sites writing about green technology, health application development and more general pieces. Many writers and editors have endorsed my skills on LinkedIn. I have won awards from the Society for Technical Communication for my innovative program on technical literacy in the schools.

I have an MA degree in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University and I have taught at the middle school level and worked with adults as a teacher of memoir. I am currently an MFA candidate. My long-term goal is to teach students writing.
