English Professor And Author
After receiving my MFA in poetry from St. Mary’s College, I went to work as a music journalist, writing for Magnet, CMJ HITS! and Amplifier. I wanted to be a famous poet, but I had to face the fact that I would never be as famous of a poet as Dylan Thomas…or Jewel.
After years spent interviewing everyone from R.E.M. to Bowie, I penned my first book on the Stone Roses’ debut album for the 33 1/3 series on seminal rock and roll records.
From there I put out a collection of poems called Let The West Coast Be Settled, followed that up with the short fiction collection Emergency Anthems, and then at the beginning of 2017 my novel The Heart Goes Boom was released.
I'm the Editor-In-Chief of www.stereoembersmagazine.com, a daily music site with a readership of over twenty million.
I'm also the host of the weekly radio show "The Heart Goes Boom" on Bombshell Radio.
