I graduated from the MIT Sloan School of Management in June 2016, and will return to being a full-time consultant with Monitor Deloitte in Washington DC in February 2017.
During the interim I am mostly playing trophy husband (just got married in August!) while my wife finishes her own graduate work in Utah. I am also using the time to pursue some independent writing and freelance consulting.
Prior to attending Sloan, I spent 5 years as a strategy consultant for the Monitor Group / Monitor Deloitte, first in their Dubai office and then in Boston/Cambridge, Massachusetts, working for clients in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. I gained management consulting experience in a broad array of areas, including economic development strategy, foreign and economic policy analysis, competitive analysis, marketing strategy, strategic and scenario planning, project management, organizational design, curriculum development for corporate training programs, and capability building. I applied these experiences across a range of industries and geographies, including North America, the Middle East, and sub-Saharan Africa.
Work Terms
My work hours and payscale is negotiable based on the project and client needs. To be frank, I am less concerned with pay rate than I am that A) my clients feel they have gotten what they paid for, and B) that the work is interesting. That said, if I use my old salary and future salary as benchmarks, then my daily rate would be in the range of $300-550.
