I’m Daniel D. Lee, a Full-Stack Engineer and AI enthusiast with a passion for building technology that makes a real difference. My journey in tech started at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where I majored in Computer Science with a minor in Machine Learning. From there, I dove headfirst into full-stack development, learning to bridge the gap between backend architecture, frontend experiences, and the emerging world of AI.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse teams across continents—from building a smart city Mobility-as-a-Service platform in Sydney to creating dynamic, user-focused e-commerce solutions in Hobart. I love tackling complex problems, whether it’s integrating multiple transportation services into a seamless experience, designing scalable backend systems, or implementing AI-driven features that make platforms smarter and more intuitive.
What drives me most is creating technology that genuinely improves people’s lives. I value collaboration, clean code, and staying curious—always learning new frameworks, experimenting with cloud architectures, or exploring the potential of AI and Web3 technologies. I take pride in mentoring teammates, reviewing code thoughtfully, and fostering an environment where innovation thrives.
Outside of work, I’m an avid sports enthusiast—football, basketball, tennis, and hiking keep me energized and focused. I also enjoy reading novels and listening to music, which help me recharge and spark new ideas. These personal hobbies often feed into my professional life, giving me fresh perspectives on problem-solving and creativity.
