About

Online Academic Tutoring Over 20 Years of College Teaching

I tutor and teach history & general social sciences, college writing, research analysis and provide general mentorship relating to most history, social science and writing courses. I mentor high school, undergraduate and graduate students working on a variety of academic projects including basic college writing, research papers, exams, presentations, online digital exhibitions, master’s thesis and dissertations.
Moreover, I also tutor students taking different levels of standardized tests including the New York’s Regents Exam, the SAT/ACT, the GRE, and the NYSTCE (strictly the verbal, writing and social science components—no quantitative.) I Have taught US, World History and Academic Writing in several colleges and universities for over twenty years. I recently left my position at the College of New Rochelle a position I held for the last 12 years as a tenured History/Social Science professor and long-time college writing instructor.
I received my PhD and master’s degrees in History at the University of California at Berkeley (with a secondary specialty in Geography: International Geo-Politics and War.)
As a professor and long-time chair of a History Department, I taught, tutored, mentored and advised thousands of students in history, social studies and college writing. I have supervised over 50 undergraduate senior theses and have experience mentoring graduate students' research and write masters theses and PhD Dissertations. I excel at tutoring students engaging in college level coursework and preparing for the mundane rigours of standardized exams.
I am currently taking a hiatus from my professorial duties to finish researching and writing a lengthy manuscript (Rabble: A People's History of War and Rebellion in Colonial North America) while simultaneously perusing my passion for teaching through online academic education.

Work Terms

I am available for one hour online tutoring/mentoring sessions from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM 7 days a week.
