Web Applications Developer with a Zen attitude

Web Development, Healing Arts and Martial Arts: I have run my own business, worked with others, and created my own projects in all three fields of endeavor. What could these three crafts have in common? At first glance, one appears to be about computers, another about fighting and yet another about, well, healing. Yet what if we don't stop there? What if we take one more step beyond the notions we carry about these three pursuits, and look deeper?

My life has been about the integration of these three crafts. Computer run on a binary language of 0 and 1, and from these two phases, so much is possible. Chinese traditional medicine theories come from Yin and Yang, another binary expression symbolized by the Yin-Yang symbol, actually called, Taiji. Yin and Yang express two states that transform into all of life. True martial arts training involves quite a lot of character building, physical and emotional development. A clear, Zen state of mindfulness is the core of traditional Budo or martial training. Through an integrated application of the teachings of these three crafts, coding gets done cleaner and easier.
