About

A student, looking to expand my horizons, gain valuable experience, and build remote connections

As a programmer, I have worked in Game Development, and have a diploma specifically in Game Programming. Upon finishing the program, I decided to further my education, and have pursued a Computer Science degree.

I have experience with quite a few different languages and technologies. I should mention that I have a particular interest in Computer Graphics, and have an intermediate working knowledge base of the fundamentals. I've recently gained an interest in Web Development, as well. Naturally, I decided to integrate my knowledge of graphics, and have tinkered with WebGL.

I prefer to gain perspective, by working with other people, and to gain as much feedback from others as possible. I believe that in order to become the most successful and productive developer, I need to see from many different perspectives. I need to adapt to many different environments.

The most important of my traits includes the ability to know when to move on to another problem, and to come back with a fresh state of mind. I've met many developers that prefer to stare at a problem and expect the answer to magically come to them. In imperative programming, implementation details often convolute the the current problem, and it's important to try and approach the same problem in different ways. Especially if my current approach is not working out, and I am simply grinding my mental gears into burn out.

What I am really looking for is a chance to shine, and to build my portfolio through real world experience. It's a long road, and I believe freelancing is another great approach.
