I worked as a newspaper reporter and editor for 13 years. That's where I learned to write concisely, accurately and, most importantly, on quickly. Let's face it, there are deadlines and missing them is not an option. When I was downsized I went in another direction, eventually earning my CPA,CGA designation. However, there just isn't enough mental stimulation in balancing ledgers and reporting on variances from budget. So that's why I have returned to my initial passion.
