I may not be a rockstart, but i'm on my way

Hi! I’m Dexter John Ongpauco, honestly I don’t have any formal training when it comes to graphic design, in using Photoshop or even Illustrator. Heck, I just go with my gut when it comes to my artworks.

I started doing this back in 2013, where one of my leaders saw me doodling in Photoshop and asked me design the corporate notebook for our company. After that, I started to design the marketing materials, the even materials for the company. It continued up to my most recent employer, a Tobacco company here in the Philippines. Now, this was different, I had to come up with marketing materials for the retail stores, for Facebook, and Instagram. All have to be original and has to be “artsy”, basically the artwork has to be an artwork, the image had to speak for itself. I guess I was successful with that, because my leader was satisfied and proud of the artwork that I did for him.

Now, I made a decision after my father died that I would do my artworks for myself, and show the world what I can do. I’m still learning as I go along with this path. I never get tired of doing the artworks, because it relaxes me.

There are times that I would have some blank days but, the following day I get back up and come up with original works again.

If you ask, what made me inspired to do all these, anything really. I take inspiration from car magazines, fashion magazines, website designs, even a simple product can inspire me to create a layout.
