About

I Help Chemistry & Biochemistry Researchers Beat Desk Rejection | Manuscript Editing, Journal Formatting & Peer Review Response Letters | 5 Years Publishing in ACS & RSC Journals

A chemistry manuscript sits on a postdoc's desk with 11 days to the submission deadline and three pages of reviewer comments that arrived yesterday.

This is a common situation for chemistry researchers seeking professional manuscript editing. The science is done. The data are solid. But the manuscript may read as though it was written by several authors over an extended period. The abstract buries the key finding, references use inconsistent citation styles, and the peer-review response does not address reviewer comments systematically.

Journals published by ACS, RSC, Elsevier, and Springer have detailed author guidelines covering manuscript structure, formatting, references, figures, and submission requirements. Editorial screening can be affected by language quality, formatting, and adherence to journal guidelines—independent of the underlying scientific quality.

I provide specialized manuscript editing and publication support for chemistry, biochemistry, and life-science researchers, focusing on editorial readiness: line-by-line language editing with tracked changes, journal formatting and compliance, reference-list auditing and citation reformatting, systematic peer-review response letters, and abstract and cover-letter refinement that presents the key finding clearly to the editor.

My doctoral research at IISER Bhopal covered inorganic chemistry, chemical biology, synthetic organic chemistry, spectroscopic characterization (UV-Vis, NMR, FTIR, mass spectrometry), biochemical assays, and small-molecule drug design. I have navigated the manuscript submission and revision process for ACS and RSC journals from the researcher’s perspective.

My approach to editing comes from five years of reading, writing, submitting, revising, and critically evaluating scientific manuscripts—not simply from an editing course.

3 peer-reviewed publications in ACS and RSC journals (2 as first author) • 2 manuscripts currently under revision • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word tracked changes, EndNote, Grammarly Pro, PubMed, and Google Scholar

Turnaround: 5–7 working days per manuscript.

Work Terms

Hours: Monday–Friday, 10 AM–6 PM IST (UTC+5:30). Urgent deadlines can be discussed in advance.
Payment: Preferably through Guru SafePay/ PayPal. Work begins after the agreed milestone is funded. Additional work outside the agreed scope will be discussed before commencement.
Communication: Professional, structured communication through Guru messages is preferred. A brief call can be arranged for complex projects. Manuscripts, journal guidelines, reviewer comments, and requirements should be shared at the start whenever available.
Revisions: Revisions within the agreed scope are included; additional requirements may require a revised timeline or fee.
