About

I help individuals and organizations do their work better.

Elisha works to restore African healing legacies the have always accompanied African resistance and self-determination. He is the founder of the Mbungi Pan-African Cooperative (MPAC), a transnational bridge that connects people to information, resources, and education. He also co-founded the Eko Education & Technology Institute, an African-centered research and arts education entity that connects work in the diaspora. He is also a member of the Black National Food Justice Alliance. In 2016, he worked with members of Englewood and the broader Chicago community to establish the Ujamaa Community Land Trust. Elisha is a doctoral student in the Policy Studies in Urban Education program at the University of Illinois (Chicago). His research centers on Independent Black Institutions in the diaspora - specifically educational institutions and traditional education spaces outside of public school systems. He is interested in cultivating Pan-African institutions that are sustainable and facilitate intercontinental collaboration.
