About

**My Journey as a Frontend Developer: From HTML Beginnings to Mastering UI/UX and Animations**

My story as a frontend developer began with a spark of curiosity about how websites come to life. It all started when I stumbled upon HTML, the backbone of the web, during my early days as a student in Cameroon. I vividly remember typing my first `Hello, World!` and watching it render in a browser—a simple moment that ignited a passion for creating digital experiences. Back then, I was captivated by the idea that a few lines of code could shape what users see and interact with online. With my skills in building beautiful web pages, UI/UX pages, and with good animations, doing yours is promoting your business, and this journey reflects how I honed those abilities.

In those early days, I spent hours experimenting with HTML, learning to structure content with tags like ``, ``, and ``. I built static pages—simple personal profiles and mock portfolios—using free resources like W3Schools and freeCodeCamp. My first projects were basic, like a single-page site about my favorite hobbies, styled with rudimentary CSS to add colors and fonts. Mistakes were plenty; I once spent hours debugging a page because I forgot to close a ``! But each error taught me resilience and the importance of clean code.

As I progressed, CSS became my playground. I learned to craft responsive layouts using Flexbox and Grid, ensuring my pages looked great on both mobile and desktop. By 2023, I was diving into JavaScript, adding interactivity like form validations and dynamic content updates. A memorable project was a to-do list app where I used JavaScript to let users add and delete tasks—my first taste of making pages feel alive. I also started exploring frameworks like React, inspired by its component-based approach, which I later used for projects like the OCaLi app’s frontend, where I built modular, user-friendly interfaces.

My focus on UI/UX design grew naturally. I realized that beautiful web pages weren’t just about code but about understanding users. Tools like Figma helped me prototype sleek interfaces, and I studied user behavior to create intuitive navigation flows. For instance, when designing a weather app concept, I incorporated 2025 trends like minimalism and micro-interactions, ensuring the UI was both functional and visually appealing. My animations—powered by CSS transitions and libraries like GSAP—added flair, like smooth hover effects or scrolling parallax that kept users engaged. These skills shone in projects like the “Do” task management app, where I designed a responsive landing page with a Yaoundé-themed background, blending local pride with modern aesthetics.

By 2025, I was tackling advanced projects, integrating TypeScript for type-safe React components and optimizing performance with Vite. My work on OCaLi’s frontend, for example, involved connecting to a local backend for authentication and implementing secure payment gateways
