After 10+ years in the Information Technology and High-performance computing industry, I found Industrial Automation and Robotics. Mixing hobbyist passions with my IT experience, Industrial Automation was a perfect fit. After completing my MS in Industrial Technology with an emphasis on electronics, I started as a Machine Controls Engineer at a lean and mean automation company.
Over 6 years later, I chose to start a consulting company based around my experience in connecting IT, Automation, Robotics, and Electronics. Since late 2017, my company, Jensen Mechatronics, has afforded me the ability to work with numerous clients in agriculture, manufacturing, embedded hardware, factory simulation, and remote monitoring systems.
My specialties include CNC machining, IoT, sensor networks, 3D printing, PLC programming, network security, motion control, web development, database design, computer vision, automotive, and various other interconnected fields.

Work Terms
Typically I run with an hourly rate, tracking time and milestones in an online spreadsheet. I invoice hours every 2 weeks with Net 30 terms, though I'm open to other methods including fixed price bidding of well-scoped projects.
In the end, I want the customer to be happy, so I don't over formalize agreements, and I will continue as long as needed or stop work as required to suit the needs of the customer.
