Transform IT from "I don't understand" to "Ah, that's easy"!

I'm a System Administrator for over 14 years now. First started to work for a global Pharma company. I was responsible for a Windows domain with over 200 users, doing first and second level support, incident and knowledge base management. Other responsibilities included Windows server administration, software and hardware installation, server monitoring, AD and backup management, creation of IT SOPs according to GMP and ITIL.

After working for a Pharma company I moved to the IT department of a Europe wide acting Hotel group. I was responsible for the first and second level support too. Expanding my knowledge in the Windows server 2008 R2 and Windows server 2012 administration. We managed several virtual server using VMware vSphere and the vCenter server. The hotel group used to work with the Opera hotel reservation system. I adopted the management of several Linux based server (Nagios, Icinga, Graylog).

As the CEO of Wagner IT Server I take care of the implementation of Linux in small sized companies, installing Samba file server and Linux clients (usually Ubuntu). I love the idea of Free Software... to share knowledge and to work with others, not bound to country's frontiers. I'm working on small internet projects for my customers, programming HTML, Wordpress and Typo3 pages. I love what I'm doing and trying to keep track of new technologies, to offer the best solution to my customers.

I'm trying to expand my knowledge in IT security, analyzing IT risks and implementing IT security solutions.

Work Terms

I'm not working 09 to 05! That means I'm waiting for your input! In the moment I'm located in Manhattan, NY. I can be responsible for German customs support or for a US based branch office. I'm Fabian, a digital normad, travelling the world.
