Working in a small shop at a financial services company gave me the opportunity to wear all of the hats. I did DBA work, design, programming, server maintenance, business analysis, and product management. To thrive, you had to jump into the deep end and be able to learn anything, fast. I bring all of that knowledge and drive to every project I take on.
Having run my own consulting shop with a variety of clients has only deepened my knowledge and experience across many different systems and environments. With each project comes a new environments and desired tech stack, and I often pick up new technologies overnight so that my clients are always getting the most value.
Work Terms
Before creating the approval letter, I work with my clients to find out exactly what it is they want and how to get it done in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible. If it is a bigger project, I stay in touch with the client as work progresses to get feedback and make adjustments to ensure the finished product is what the client had in mind at the start.
Communication is key to the success of any project. Most communication can be done through email or guru's messaging system, but I make myself available to my clients via phone and skype, as well.
I am available most days of the week during the day in. I have a great deal of experience working with clients on very different time zones, whether it's 3 hours difference or 13.
Payment will be handled through the Guru.com SafePay system Most of the time, I require a minimum to be maintained the SafePay system to complete any project.
