Hello! My name is Gajan, and I am a very passionate aspiring writer. As well as journalism and creative writing I want to work in the public health sector promoting international development, human rights, and poverty alleviation causes to improve health outcomes throughout the world. I also believe strongly countering educational disadvantage, particularly in rural communities, as I see education to be one of the most critical factors in decreasing social equity.
I have worked as an administration assistant at The University of Melbourne for three years, from where I also have a Bachelor of Arts degree and Diploma of Global Issues with specialisations in English Literature, Economics, and International Studies. I am highly engaged with social media and graphic design, and thoroughly enjoying working on collaborative projects (particularly those with socially conscious aims).
I am also a keen musician, athlete, and film buff. I have a great deal of wanderlust so travelling is one of my great loves. I have recently moved from Melbourne to the United Kingdom to work for two years and expand my personal and professional outlook.
Work Terms
I am generally available around the clock as needed to work on projects. Payment rates are negotiable based upon the project, and I respond very promptly to all emails and other forms of communication (such as social media messaging).
