Content Writer/Editor Seeking Freelance Work

I am currently working out of my home in Palo Alto, CA, accepting jobs involving writing, editing, or proofreading written content. I am proficient in Markdown, and am currently learning HTML and CSS. I'm also familiar with audio and video editing software, have an advanced expertise in the Microsoft Office suite, and a strong grasp on the English language.

Before breaking into technical writing, I was a high school English teacher, so I understand how to explain complex topics in a way that even an novice could understand. I also made a living on finding and correcting grammatical and syntactic errors, which makes me an ideal choice for proofreading and editing.

Work Terms

My hours of operation are flexible: At the moment I try to keep an 8-4 schedule, but I can alter that however is necessary for the projects I take. My only limit is that I prefer not to work more than 40 hours a week.

My rates are also flexible, depending on the term of the contract and the nature of the work being performed. My base asking rate for content creation work is $35/hour, but if that is outside your budget I am open to negotiation.
