The pen is mightier than the sword!
I’ve been drawing since I was knee-high to a pencil. I spent all my schooldays drawing, no matter what the lesson. This passion took me to study animation, after graduating I got my first job as creative director of a small video game company. I then spent a few years as a freelancer working on shows like You Can Start A Business for National TV in China which attracted regular audiences of 40million viewers. I then set up my own animation studio, Planet Sunday, where for 13 years we created high-quality, award-winning animated content for TV, DVD, the web and apps for mobile devices. When I started Planet Sunday our first gig was for a friend of mine who lived 15mins away. Soon after, as our portfolio grew so did our reputation for creating funny, original top class animation for kids of all ages. We did everything from character design right through to editing and formatting the final product ready for broadcast. Since then, I’ve decided to take a step back and start having fun again with drawing without the pressure of running a business. It does mean though, that I can offer you one heck of a skillset that others may not.
I am experienced in traditional cartoon illustration, digital illustration using Photoshop. Animation using Toon Boom Harmony. Editing using Final Cut and Premiere Pro.
Work Terms
Payment terms are: 25% upfront upon commissioning of project. Two payments of 25% of total budget paid in stages. Final payment of 25% upon completion of project.
