I'm a native English speaker and fluent Spanish speaker with a passion for languages.
In my fifth year at UW-Madison, I'm finishing my degrees in: Spanish; Latin American, Caribbean and Iberian Studies; and International Studies: Global Security. I will also graduate with certificates in Educational Policy Studies and African Studies.
I currently serve as the translation coordinator and editor - as well as a translator - at a Colombian NGO, where we translate documents from Spanish to English for public and government use.
I also work for the International Studies Major Division, where I manage the website and run the social media accounts. I recently designed and created a Tumblr for the department, which I continue to maintain.
My typical rates are as follows:
-$60/audio hour for English transcriptions
-$0.20/word for Spanish/English translations
-$12/hour for Spanish/English translations
I am happy to provide writing and translation samples in both English and Spanish, but employers must request them.
