About

My name is Hammad Ghafoor, and I have been working as a professional writer for the past five years. I first began to think about pursuing the field during my undergraduate studies. After attaining a Bachelors in Mass Communication (with a specialization in Advertising and Public Relations) from Forman Christian College University, one of the most prestigious grad schools in Pakistan, I began my professional career. I was lucky enough to obtain an internship at Dunya News, one of the largest and most reputable media houses in the country. Over there, I was part of the Web Desk Team and oversaw finding international news stories that would appeal to the Pakistani audience. I also covered various events for the organization and wrote blogs on a wide variety of topics such as population growth in developing countries and the Arab Winter. Before my internship was completed, I was approached by Writing4Money, a Los Angles based firm that specialized in academic writing, with an offer to join the company as a freelance writer. Since the work sounded interested, I accepted and spend the next few months writing research papers, scholarly articles, dissertations and essays for Canadian, American, European and Middle Eastern clients. Without being boastful, I can honestly claim that I was quite good at my job and had a 100% customer satisfaction rate. I left Writing4Money after roughly half a year, due to personal reasons, and joined Kestral Education, a Pakistani education consultancy that specialized in sending local students to elite Ivy League universities in the United States, as an Associate Mentor. In this position, I helped students with their personal essays, teacher recommendations and university application questions. I also contributed to writing the prospectus for the firm’s new venture, Kaizen High School. In 2021, I left Kestral Education for family reasons and joined EDCEUM, another well-known international educational consultancy, as their chief editor and writer. I am still employed at the firm in the before mentioned position and oversee all of the relevant written content produced by and for the firm. This includes students SOPs, experience letters, recommendation letters, scripts, and other pieces of documentation required for international university applications.
