My goal is to make people smile with my art!
Hello,I'm Hannah. I am a recent graduate of Virginia Commonwealth university with a BFA degree in Communication Arts. I have been drawing since I could hold a pencil, I wanted to become the best artist I could be, so I worked at it everyday and with that work ethic I was able to get accepted in to a specialty arts high school where I was able to hone my skills for college. In high school, I participated in the Scholastic Arts competition and received a Silver Scholastic medal. My art was recognized nationally in their awards ceremony in New York and my competition piece was displayed at the Virginia Museum of Fine Art for a month. In college, I focused mainly on learning digital art programs and techniques. I was able to become very proficient at using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator,Indesign, and Google Sketch-up. I was also able to learn technical skills like drawing human anatomy, color theory, typography, and concept design. I have previously worked for Kaman's Art Shoppes as a caricature artist for 2 years. Within my first 3 months working at Kaman's, I was able to achieve Employee of the month and a promotion to Lead Artist, due to my consistent high sales. By my second year, I was promoted to Supervisor of the caricature department. I have received the “Elite” award twice, an award only given to employees who sell at least $1,200 worth of products in one shift. Though, what I really have passion for is designing character concepts for animation, games, and comics. Outside of business, in my spare time I love watching cult tv shows, playing video games, and crochet.
