Scientific editing and review
I am a Namibian born, South African citizen currently seeking work as a scientific editor. I obtained my PhD degree in 2011 from the University of Pretoria, focusing on Bartonella infections in rodents from South Africa. During my scientific career, my research interests included epidemiology and mathematical modelling, systematics, zoonotic and infectious diseases and veterinary microbiology. I have co-supervised several MSc and honours students and have published in excess of 19 peer reviewed papers. I have been working as a freelance scientific editor for nearly three years either independently in South Africa or as part of the freelance staff of MOGO Editing through Upwork. I am a friendly and easy-going person, can manage my time effectively and have worked well as part of a team and independently.
