Hello! I’m Ilse Omary Macha, a passionate and dedicated TESOL certified ESL tutor with over 3 years of experience teaching English to children, teens, and adults. My mission is to help students not only improve their English skills but also build confidence and discover the joy of learning a new language.
Teaching has always been a calling for me. I started volunteering as an English teacher with the Paper Airline Program, where I worked with a conflict-affected student, tailoring lessons to their individual needs. This experience taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and creativity in education. Seeing my student grow in confidence and communication skills was deeply rewarding and inspired me to pursue ESL teaching professionally.
I then moved into online teaching, helping students worldwide through platforms like Preply, where I create engaging lessons that focus on speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. I have experience teaching young learners, teenagers, and adults, adapting my teaching style to suit different learning preferences. I specialize in grammar, conversational English, vocabulary building, and pronunciation, ensuring that my students make real progress while enjoying the learning process.
My teaching philosophy is simple: learning English should be interactive, fun, and meaningful. I strive to create a safe and encouraging environment where students feel confident to express themselves. I believe that building trust and connection with students is just as important as teaching language skills.
Outside of teaching, I am an avid reader and lifelong learner, always looking for ways to improve my skills and knowledge. • Focus on conversational English, grammar, vocabulary, and writing skills.

Payment Terms
• Rates: $10–$13 per hour, depending on lesson type and duration.
• Payments handled through Guru SafePay, withdrawable via Payoneer or Bank Transfer.
• Payment is secured before starting lessons to protect both tutor and student.
