About

"30+ Years at the Karachi Bar — Family Law, Mediation & Islamic Finance Advisory"

What I bring beyond courtroom experience is an active academic publishing record — I write on Islamic family law and jurisprudence for international law journals, with papers available on SSRN. That means the advice I give isn't just built on decades of practical casework, but on careful, current legal research into how Pakistani statutory law and Islamic jurisprudence actually intersect.
I regularly work with clients based outside Pakistan — across the UK, US, Gulf, and Southeast Asia — who need clear, reliable guidance on Pakistan-based legal matters without needing to travel. Consultations are available via Zoom, WhatsApp, or phone.
I believe good legal advice should be honest before it's optimistic — I'll tell you plainly what your options are, what's realistic, and what isn't, so you can make an informed decision with confidence.

Work Terms

Availability: Available via Zoom, WhatsApp, or phone, with scheduling accommodated across UK, US, Gulf, and Southeast Asia time zones.
Communication: I respond within 24 hours on working days. Fridays (Jumu'ah) may see a later start to replies.
Confidentiality: All client discussions are treated as strictly confidential, consistent with standard advocate-client privilege.
Scope of engagement: I provide legal consultation, advisory services, and document drafting on Pakistani family law, banking and Islamic finance matters, and cross-border legal questions — including agreements, legal notices, and petitions for onward filing. Court representation and in-person litigation are handled under a separate engagement, as these require Pakistan-based procedural steps.
Payment: Terms are agreed before work begins, based on the scope of the engagement.
