Quick, Efficient, Perfectionist.
My first student short film, Symphony of a Psychopath, was made on a £3 budget. When some actors dropped out for a family emergency, the whole film had to be replanned in the day of filming within a few minutes. Despite this, it still became an award winner and finalist for the annual Bottle Smoke Film Festival in Stoke-On-Trent.
From there, I worked on a few other experimental short films, again using equipment borrowed from friends on no budget. These films being 'The Cold Reality' a stop motion film about fighting your inner demons, 'The Post-Mortem' a 50s B-Movie style noir film, edited to make it seem like it was recorded over a VHS, using public domain footage to tell the story. 'Rebra' a 3 minute film based off music smugglers in the USSR, and 'The Train Bar' a mockumentary about a bartender on a luxurious first class train.
My skills with working on zero budget and hurdles means I have developed an approach to film making that squeezes maximum quality out of minimum budget.
