Jade Kooiker

Qualified Australian Commercial Lawyer with a passion for contracts, corporate governance and risk assessment.

My focus is on providing practical, up to date legal advice having regard to emerging business practices, whether that is drafting or reviewing a contract, or advising you on legal strategy.

As a practicing director and experienced consultant I also provide corporate governance solutions, education services for boards and and constitutional and legal advice to drive governance improvement.

My insights are geared towards improving the legal and governance environment in which companies work, so as to enhance their productivity, profitability and success.

I completed my Bachelor of Laws through Queensland University of Technology in 2007, followed by a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice through the Victorian College of Law in 2009.

I was admitted to practice Australian law by the Victorian Supreme Court and the Australian High Court in 2009.

I worked for many years within a boutique commercial law firm on many small commercial legal contracts and projects, particularly in property and bankruptcy matters.

I have also worked for one of Australia's top tier Corporate Law firms in dispute resolution which saw me drafting a wide variety of legal documents, but more importantly gave me insight into what goes wrong when contracts don't work.

I have worked in corporate acquisitions and finance sectors and have drafted a wide range of legal contracts including loan contracts, sale and purchase agreements and security documents.
