About

CAD Design Services Specializing in Military, Aerospace, and Patent Illustrations.

My name is James, I am a United States Navy Veteran of eight years. While in the Navy I served as an aircraft mechanic for six years working on Lockheeds S-3B Viking. During this tour I achieved all levels of Quality Assurance qualifications. Prior to rotating from this command I was considered the resident expert on the S-3B Viking airframe.

One tour of duty just wasn't enough for me so I re-enlisted when the opportunity was offered to be a Non-Destructive Testing Technician (NDI) as well as being an aviation structural mechanic. I then worked the next 2 1/2 years as a mechanic and NDI Tech rebuilding and testing aircraft components.

After my tour in the Navy I accepted a position as Quality Assurance representative inspecting parts for a top 500 manufacturing facility for the Department of Defense. As a QA representative I inspected everything from the start of the manufacturing process to the last process. Some of my duties included material certification acceptance, blueprint review, dimensional inspection, finish inspection, first article presentation, operation and programming of a coordinate measuring machine (CMM). Its been five years now and hundreds of first articles later.

Through out the years I would spend my off time in college studying Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD). Initially, my intentions weren't to be a CADD operator but just to secure a degree relevent and useful to my experience. After watching the struggles with obtaining models, my plans changed and now my plans are to support those who need and want a quality draftsman
