I am worked as a Chief Information Officer and IT Manager of transportation and logistics companies for the last 20 years. I have extensive experience in logistics information systems.
James Richardson joined Cox Transfer in December of 2013, bringing 2 decades of IT Management experience to his role. James’ formal career in transportation and logistics began with G&D Integrated where he spent two years in Distribution Operations and 14 years as the Chief Information Officer of the organization. James has extensive experience with a variety of logistics information systems including transportation, distribution, warehousing, inventory, manufacturing, and yard management systems. He has managed all facets of Information Technology within a multi-site and international logistics organization including the implementation of IT Governance methodologies and processes. Directly prior to joining Cox Transfer, James was a Project Manager for GT Nexus/The Fennimore Group and worked with customers, ocean carriers, and domestic/international suppliers to implement GT Nexus SaaS supply chain management systems and EDI integration across the customer’s global supply chain. James studied Computer Science at Southern Illinois University and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Philosophy from Illinois State University. He continued his education to earn his Masters of Business Administration/Technology Management from the University of Phoenix. In his spare time, James has taught Tae Kwon Do kids and adult classes since January 1999.
Work Terms
I do not have specific hours of operation but have ample free time to work on jobs. I generally prefer e-mail communication and remote work but I am willing to come on site depending on the job and the scope of the job.
