I am a freelance proofreader and editor with over 40 years' experience.
I have proofread and edited documents all my working life - and I still enjoy it!! I like the challenge of picking up a typo or suggesting a better turn of phrase, meeting a deadline of reducing the word count. My experience has covered environmental and agricultural science, contaminated sites and instructing the drafting and amendment of legislation. I have edited several books and ebooks in the self-help and self-improvement genre as well as memoirs and travel and I have also edited drama scripts.
Work Terms
I prefer to edit MS Word files (.doc or .docx), using "Track changes" but can use text-accessible PDF files if required. My preferred work time is GMT+8 1300 to 2200, but I can work different or extra hours if the job demands it. I like to be paid within a fortnight of delivery of the complete job. I prefer to communicate via email.
