Writing books people want to read

Writing has always been my true calling. Some of my earliest memories involve the persistent 'click click' of the worn-out typewriter I was given for my 8th birthday. I went on to pursue this passion by earning both a Bachelor's in English and a Master's degree in creative writing. I worked as a Creative Writing College Instructor for a stint, but gave it up to freelance full-time ten years ago, and I've never looked back.

I love words. I love creating images with them, winding and weaving a story out them, and helping readers escape, feel, and laugh with the power of them. I am highly creative. I adore a story well-told, and character that lingers long after the book is closed. My areas of expertise are in the romance, horror, and fantasy genres, but I've dappled in many other genres as well, including children's writing (specifically Middle Grade Readers), spy/thriller, and urban fantasy.

I've also recently found a passion for serial books, and although I'm relatively new to that type of format and story-telling, I'm quickly becoming a voracious serial romance writer.

When I'm not writing, I'm running my three children around to their plethora of extra-curricular activities. I also play the guitar (but not very well), sing (even worse), and write stand-up comedy (which I haven't performed as of yet). I'm a life-long tap dancer, an avid knitter, and I make a really mean martini.

Work Terms

I try to maintain a work schedule of Monday-Friday, 9:00-5:00pm PST. However, given the nature of freelancing, I have clients from all parts of the world, so my schedule is not fixed in stone. We can discuss all that when we discuss the project.

I give a thorough quote for every project that explains, in detail, the cost of the project, the deliverables, and the deadline.
