About

'Your reality, sir, is lies and balderdash, and I am delighted to say I have no grasp of it, whatsoever.' -Baron Munchausen

I am a professional freelance fantasy illustrator specializing in traditional media (i.e. oil paint, acrylic paint, pen and ink, brush and ink, graphite, and watercolor). My education includes a degree in illustration and over ten years of professional freelance experience. Over the years I have had dealings with many art directors, creative professionals, and published material. I have worked on book covers, interior illustrations, maps, character concepting, and 2-dimensional art for use with sites like Roll2o. I pride myself on meeting deadlines and working closely with clients to achieve sophisticated and polished final work that meets and exceeds project specifications.

When I was in middle school, I discovered my first art book, a sizable tome of Michael Whelan's work. Seeing the process of illustration laid bare (as well as the results of such work) for the first time, I knew this was what I wanted to do personally and professionally for the rest of my life. Ever since, I have been on a bee-line path to achieve my goal. Inspirations like Larry Elmore, Keith Parkinson, Whelan, the Hildebrandts, many Golden Age illustrators like N.C. Wyeth and Howard Pyle (as well as too many others to name here), helped pave the way for me. My hope is to provide as much beauty and inspiration as they did, to inspire my audience, and bring my visions to life.

Work Terms

I work 5 days per week, 9 a.m-5 p.m, Tuesday through Saturday.

I have a set list of prices and accept half of the commission cost up-front as a kill fee.

I prefer the telephone and email as methods of communication.
