Experienced editor and proofreader with special focus on faith projects for churches, groups and Christian writers.
I'm a native English speaker from East Sussex, UK, and became a freelance proofreader and editor in 2011. Since then I've honed my skills on a wide range of projects, from blog posts to full-length manuscripts.
In 2021 I made the decision to focus on faith projects in line with my personal strengths and beliefs. I now specialise in serving church groups and Christian writers as I can identify with their choices and motivations, and know my way around the Bible.
I still welcome more general work from private individuals and small businesses, having worked with clients around the world. I'm glad to say many have become good friends.
Whoever the client, my aim is to deliver great work on time. I respect deadlines and the need for confidentiality, and I'm happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement if required.
Thanks to my international clientele, I'm used to working in either UK or US English. I've been told I write with a great American accent!
Work Terms
I usually work in Word using tracked changes and prefer to communicate by email where possible to avoid disrupting work. Please note that I don't work on horror or occult genres.
Although I don't work Sundays, I can generally be flexible to meet the needs of urgent projects and will accept either hourly or fixed-rate jobs.
