I'm an award-winning children's author, education contract writer, and former special education teacher of fifteen years.
My Masters is in Special Education. I taught fifth grade, middle school, and then high school for a total of fifteen years before I decided to become an educational writer and children's author full-time. I have several books published for the k-8 school and library market and I have a fictional chapter book series, called Jack's Tales. Jack's Tales is written with the reluctant reader, age 7-10, in mind. The first book in the series was chosen as a Finalist in two international book awards. These were the National Indie Excellence Awards in 2015 and the Tybee Island Book Festival Awards.
