I help people say what they want to say.

I'm the author of eight, soon to be nine books - four (soon to be five) novels, two poetry collections, and one non-fiction book. I'm also known as the Wordsy Woman helping authors, soon-to-be-authors, and want-to-be authors from pre-idea to reader with coaching/mentoring services, editing and proofreading services, publishing services, and book marketing services. I've worked writing and editing for my local school district, independent authors, and other small businesses. I serve as President of the Midwest Writing Center board of directors. I enjoy all aspects of the written word.

When not working, I enjoy reading (which is also sometimes part of working), knitting, walking, hiking, traveling, and photography.

If it has to do with words, I'm interested.

Work Terms

I'm not perfect and won't guarantee not making any mistakes, but I'll do my absolute best, valuing accuracy and efficiency to get things done correctly. If it's my mistake, I'll fix it. I prefer email communication but am open to scheduled telephone calls or video conferences. I officially work "bankers' hours," but will do whatever I can to get the job done. I'm meticulous about deadlines; I won't give a turnaround time I'm not almost 100% sure I can meet.
