About

Custom Applications that provide "Decision Ready Information" and help you get home on time.

Started writing custom applications in 1982 as a graduate student at Brown University where I studied Non-Newtonian Computational Fluid Mechanics. Upon graduation things were going well so I just kept doing it. Today I have on going relationships with a dozen companies including Amgen (Fortune 500 Biotech), Amphenol (Electronics, #702 on Fortune's list of America's biggest corporations), New Line Structures (Construction Management, #7 largest in New York City), TMK IPSCO (Oil & Gas Drilling Pipe), Polarfield (Artic Logistics).

No project is too big, too small, or too tight a timeline.

I use Excel as the front end. VBA as the programming language. Corporate or cloud databases for data storage. I have a pradigm where the master copy of the application can reside in the cloud, all users open a read-only copy of the Excel file on their desktop. The Excel file can detect if it is the current version, and if not, update itself. By splitting the processing between the user's desktop or laptop and the cloud, much better performances are achieved. By using Excel as the front end, development time is reduced because of the many powerful formats and functions built into Excel which are not available in cloud based software. Also, the users can take an active role in the development, since they can design and modify the front ends on their computers using Excel.
