Over 7 years of Mechanical Engineering experience specializing in industrial pipe systems.
The first 6 years were spent at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard providing Engineering services to complex Naval ship maintenance projects. I served as the cognizant branch representative owning all plumbing, sewage, ventilation, chill water, potable water, other fresh water, steam, and drain systems. My job was to produce technical work documents to production personnel to complete project line items and fix test failures in support of bringing mechanical systems to existing design requirements.
Currently I am the lead Mechanical Design Engineer and Quality Control Supervisor at The Chemithon Corporation in Seattle, WA. I produce all piping, pressure vessel, heat exchanger, and structural calculations and designs. In addition I oversee the companies products through fabrication ensuring quality control compliance to ASME BPVC Section VIII-1 and ASME B31.3 Process Piping code requirements. All structural calculations and designs I produce are in accordance with AISC, ASCE, IBC, and UBC codes. I manage small projects including scheduling and budgeting aspects as well as customer correspondence.
I have a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona.
I am a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Washington.
