Hello and welcome,

My name is Jose Velasquez, I'm a professional freelance 2D animator based in Los Angeles. I specialize in creating a variety of designs and animation projects. Projects that I’ve worked on include creating short animated films, PSA animated videos, YouTube intro videos, animated commercials, illustrations, and comics.

Clients include nonprofit organizations, documentary filmmakers, independent filmmakers, design studios, and private clients. Clients have come to me with ideas for movies, products, comics, illustrations, and YouTube intro videos. I work with the client to fully understand their vision for the project and help them bring their ideas to life.

My role in these projects include character design, background design, story-boarding, animation, and music editing. All projects were completed in a reasonable amount of time and I received great feedback for my performance and quality.

Work Terms

If possible I like to have at least one initial meeting with the client to discuss the project and get a true understanding of what the client wants out of the project. After the initial meeting we can continue communicating through email, phone call, or Skype.

I put in 8+ work hours a day, five days a week and take weekends off. I send updates on projects daily and respond to clients A.S.A.P.
