A good beginning never ends

I have been a full-time music teacher in California, now in Arizona, for over 35 years, with many students, kept a BBB Triple a rating for many years, got most of my students by referral, and am Nationally Certified Piano Music Teacher by the MTNA. I was a Kindermusik Maestro Teacher for years and have worked extensively and successfully with students with a wide variety of disabilities, . I hold numerous certifications, in a variety of subjects, worked for Basic Skills Remedial Tutoring in core subjects for over 18 years, Allstate fire & casualty insurance for 15 years, which required perfect accuracy and am a notary public .In addition, I’ve done a great deal of volunteer service, rescued and rehabilitated a couple thousand animals and raised 2 boys.

One of my primary jobs I held in school, was reviewing and editing co-student papers of all kinds. I was very popular and probably proofed/edited a few thousand writings. As President of the EMTA and District IV Coordinator for the state of California, I wrote newsletters, reports, educational papers, exams, research papers and on and on. I also have also worked independently, as a matter of habit, to review anything I read, sometimes sending a proofed printout if there are many errors, a task that has helped sharpen my communication and organizational skills and editorial abilities. Wrong just really bothers me.

I learned to read through National Geographic. As a voracious reader of both fiction and non-fiction and as a lifelong learner, I have read many thousands of articles and books: from archaeology to animal husbandry, medical to gardening, art to astrophysics, current innovations and recent scientific discoveries to ancient history, geology and so forth. I taught myself to read middle English, which is twice as old as Shakespearean English and always make a point of studying anything I am interested in or do, in depth. I am eager to apply all my skills and experience to the editor position for you.

Work Terms

I work around my existing job, but can dedicate many hours to working for you. Payment is through guru. I can do multiple revisions, but will charge for that. I charge more for rush jobs. Base fees are $20 per hour.
