Hey!
My name is K. P. Dunaway, founder and head engineer/producer at KD Audio Studios. First and foremost, thanks for considering KD Audio Studios! I'd like to tell you a little about myself and my music background!
I am a lifelong musician. I started playing the piano when I was just three. I wrote my first original piano piece when I was six years old. As time went on, I picked up the electric bass, then the acoustic and electric guitar, and drums. I started playing with different bands when I was just eleven years old.
During my time in different bands, I began to take on an interest to recording. When it came time to go to college, I eventually had to follow the only true passion I had ever known (besides sports, when I had the agility to play them!), and go to school for a degree in Audio Engineering.
I enjoyed it so much, once I graduated, I decided to pack all my stuff up and move to Tempe, Arizona to continue my education at the esteemed recording school, Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences. From there, I was able to receive work in Los Angeles, CA working with some pretty big names in the R&B/Gospel/Hip-Hop industry. My experience in California is second to none in terms ofwhat I learned about the music industry as a whole, and the amount of confidence I gained as a studio engineer while working alongside such talented producers and musicians.
In recent years, I have moved back to my home state of Ohio and started a studio/indie label of my own, KD Audio Studios. I have one goal in life, and that is to earn a living making music and doing what I love. I love working with other musicians and taking on the producer role, adding to their creativity and steering them to get the best final product. I would love the chance to work with you and bring your musical ideas to life!
