About

Driving global tooling launches through precision, performance & profit.

Kemal Kutay Can – Manufacturing Director | Industrial Engineer | Tooling & Quality Leader
Kemal Kutay Can is an accomplished Manufacturing Director and Industrial Engineer with over 25 years of proven leadership in automotive stamping, injection molding, and tool-and-die production. Based in Bursa, Türkiye, he has been instrumental in driving full-scale tooling and injection project launches, manufacturing process optimization, supplier quality assurance, and quality management systems across global production environments.Global Project Leadership & QCDPRH Expertise Since 2004, Kemal has taken charge of complex tooling launches, first at Renault Automotive and later at Ceydak Kalıp. He has overseen global-scale project roll-outs—from initial TOC and planning through factory commissioning—in Europe, Africa, and Asia. Fueled by a deep understanding of QCDPRH performance metrics (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Productivity, Risk, and Health & Safety), he consistently delivers production systems that meet automotive OEM standards and exceed stakeholder expectations. Transformative Maintenance & Profit-Center Initiatives Under Kemal’s direction at both Renault and Ceydak, tool maintenance operations were transformed from cost centers into profit-generating units. Through predictive maintenance planning, lean workflows, and indirect labor optimization, he increased tooling capacity by over 50 dies per year while eliminating indirect labor costs. These strategic initiatives helped reduce total cost of ownership and improve operational cycle times. Supplier Quality & Supply Chain Risk ManagementKemal has cultivated a robust suite of supplier quality processes, guided by APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, FMEA, and 8D methodology, to safeguard materials inputs for injection molding and stamping production. His supplier audit programs, incoming inspection systems, supplier training, and performance scoring tools have led to measurable improvements in part quality, reduced defect rates, and elevated compliance with OEM and internal standards. Quality Assurance and Compliance Leadership During his tenure as Quality Control Services Manager, Kemal led stamping and plastic injection control operations. He managed ANPQP, FMEA, pre-production audit planning, internal ISO/QS/TS compliance audits, and defect resolution systems. His work has included complete project audit readiness and delivery of OE-grade quality for launch vehicles, ensuring quality compliance across multiple continents and customer platforms. Educational Excellence & Professional Certifications
Kemal holds a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from METU (1994–2000). He maintains advanced proficiency in English and French (both C2), and is certified in ISO 9001, QS 9000, TS 16949 internal auditing, FMEA, MSA, SPC, Poka Yoke, GD&T, 5S, Kaizen, and welding processes. His continuous professional development spans Bosch, Renault, Bureau Veritas, and MESS seminars and audits across Türkiye and Europe.Personal Values, Comm

Work Terms

1. Scope of Work & Deliverables
Each engagement begins with a clear Statement of Work (SOW) outlining project scope, tasks, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria (e.g., QCDPRH targets)
2. Independent Contractor Status
I work strictly as an independent contractor—no employer‑employee relationship. I manage my own tools, hours, and methods, ensuring flexibility and professionalism. Platform terms such as Guru’s affirm our independent‑contractor relationship .
3. Payment Terms
I offer Fixed‑Price milestones or Task‑Based billing, with payments released upon delivery and client approval via SafePay. Invoices are issued per agreed milestones or tasks
4. Timeline & Change Requests
Milestone dates are agreed upfront. Any scope changes are managed through formal revisions to the SOW or milestones, avoiding scope creep or delays.
5. Confidentiality & IP Rights
Client data and manufacturing processes remain confidential. Ownership of final deliverables transfers upon full payment, while work-in-progress documents may remain proprietary until payment is completed
6. Revisions & Feedback
Each milestone includes a limited number of review cycles (e.g., 2 feedback rounds). Additional iterations are subject to supplemental fees.
7. Force Majeure
Neither client nor consultant is liable for delays due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, health issues)
