I am a passionate proofreader, translator and essay writer with almost a decade of experience in the field. I have translated numerous books from English to Turkish and French, in addition to working on various writing and editing projects.
My language journey started at the French High School called Lycee Française Sainte Pulcherie in Istanbul, where I developed my language skills from a young age. I pursued a degree in Translation and Interpretation at Yıldız Technical University, where I gained a deep understanding of the complexities of language and culture. During my studies, I focused on language-specific courses that helped me enhance my reading, writing, and speaking skills in Turkish, French, and English. I also completed classes in related areas, such as terminology management, computer-assisted translation tools, and project management for translation and interpretation projects.
As a freelance translator and essay writer, I've worked with a diverse range of clients, including publishers, academic institutions, and businesses. I've translated a wide range of materials, such as books, academic articles, marketing materials, and legal documents, and have written essays on various topics, such as literature, culture, and politics. I'm proficient in spoken French, English, and Turkish and hold a Delf B2 in French.
In my free time, I enjoy playing basketball, volleyball, and skiing. These hobbies provide me with a sense of balance and a creative outlet outside of my work in translation and interpretation.
