Specializing in ASP.NET web application development
I have been a professional software developer since 1994, began developing web applications in 1997 and started consulting in 1999. I have performed work for many different kinds of clients, from small Internet startups to large corporations to governments. I have been exposed to many different kinds of technologies, software development tools and programming languages during my career. If I'd not seen some technology before, I've usually figured it out well enough to get the job done.
As a software developer, I am proud to solve problems where technology is an appropriate solution, and write clean, well-documented code that is easy to maintain.
I have been out of the freelance market for the past 9 years or so while working on a long-term, full-time contract. But I am now ready to get back to the flexibility and diversity of that market.
Work Terms
I prefer to work at an hourly rate, invoicing at regular intervals such as weekly or biweekly, or as project milestones have been delivered. I feel that this is the fairest arrangement because it gives the client the ability to control the balance of a project's features vs. costs, while not encouraging the "corner cutting" that can be used to increase the profit or reduce the loss of a fixed bid.
