Fantasy Fine Arts

Krystal Harper is a fantasy artist based in Urbana, Illinois. She has received much praise for her work including a purchase award from Oklahoma State University at their yearly Research Symposium and 2nd place in Drawing Discourse, a highly competitive drawing exhibition in Asheville, North Carolina. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Oklahoma State University in December 2011. In the spring of 2014 Harper co-founded Anonygon Studios, a game development studio focused on producing tabletop games, video games, comics, and fantasy art. She now serves as the company's senior artistic director. Harper will complete her Master's degree in Studio-Painting at the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign in spring of 2015.

Work Terms

I charge a base rate of $18/hour. All illustrations are hand drawn then touched up digitally. I can watercolor illustrations or paint digitally. Basic black and white illustrations containing weighted outlines and minor shading (under 8x10 inches) take ten hours or less to make. More complex illustrations with thorough ink shading or painting take upwards of 18-25 hours. I can currently devote 5 hours a day for freelance work.
