About

Teacher.Instructor. I can develop and deliver training that fits your employees needs at every level. Classroom, onsite,or online - improve the skills that give you a competitive advantage.

After retiring from a senior leadership (Site Maintenance Director) position in the nuclear power industry I fulfilled a life-long goal of becoming a teacher at the college level.

I am an instructor at Great Bay Community College in New Hampshire in the Advanced Composites Manufacturing program.

I have developed and delivered both accredited and non-accredited classes in the classroom, online and at clients work locations.

I have taught classes on the following subjects: Advanced Composites, Math for Manufacturing, Technical Blueprint Reading (including GD&T and introduction to Solidworks), LEAN Manufacturing (including 5S, Six Sigma, MUDA/Waste reduction), Manufacturing Ethics, and Composite Bonding and Finishing.

I have developed and delivered Leadership training and First Line Supervisor training. These courses focused on soft skills such as effective communication, conservative decision making, change management and continuous improvement.

Based on my previous experience, knowledge and training, I am also comfortable with and capable of developing/delivering courses that maintenance personnel need to better perform their tasks. Topics include (but not limited to) electrical and mechanical fundamentals, soldering, preventive and corrective maintenance practices, tool use and maintenance, procedure compliance and safe work practices.

I have combined my experience in the “real world” with strong communication and teaching abilities to ensure that students are well-prepared to work in a manufacturing or industrial environment. I am consistently rated 4.5-5 (scale of 5) by my students.

In my “previously life” I was the Chairperson for all of our Technical Training Programs in addition to the First Line Supervisor training program. I understand the value of quality training, how to deliver it and how it gives an organization a competitive advantage over their competitors.

Work Terms

My work schedule is very flexible with core hours being 0800-1700, Monday through Friday. I will accept standard invoice and billing practices or electronic transfers. I check my e-mail often and quickly respond.
