With a lifelong passion for aviation and over two decades of hands-on experience in aircraft design and flight testing, I bring a unique combination of creativity, technical skill, and deep aeronautical knowledge to every project I take on.

My journey began at age 7, designing and building model airplanes from balsa and tissue. By age 9, I was flying R/C aircraft, and by 17, I had earned my private pilot’s license. Throughout high school and college, I mastered 3D aerobatics, thermal soaring, and helicopter flight, in complex R/C systems while also increasing my knowledge in the state of the art of design and construction using composite materials.

I pursued a degree in mechanical engineering to bridge the gap between electrical, software, mechanical, and aerospace disciplines—allowing me to bring a truly integrated approach to UAV and aircraft design. Since the age of 16, I’ve been scratch-building composite airframes and have since designed and flown dozens of custom UAVs with a wide range of configurations and mission profiles.

Work Terms

I am available to work on a project basis and have flexible hours. I prefer concise projects which I can apply myself to in a focused manner to provide high quality results quickly.

I prefer to understand a project and to work either hourly, or if it is possible to define milestones I can acomodate milestone based payments, with an up-front retainer.
