I have over two years of experience working online media, content management and social media for events, news organizations, and publishing companies. As a result, I’ve logged in hundreds of hours both producing social media content, copy editing and producing fresh web content. I just finished a semester term as the Online Managing Editor of the Independent Florida Alligator where I managed the publication’s writers, copy editors and print editors, with an eye for making the print publication shine online.
Print and editorial experience aside, I’m very comfortable with event management and coordination. I worked two years as the Main Event Coordinator of SwampCon a local multi-genre convention, which attracted over 3000 attendees under my management, and required close coordination with over 50 different team members, not including individual performers and guests.
