Avid beta reader and aspiring romance novel editor

I have a great love of reading which has evolved into an interest and the beginnings of experience with general and developmental editing - romance novels in particular are my go to time and again.

Leveraging my editing and proofreading experience gained through over 15 years working in marketing, along with my passion for the genre, I am hoping to work more on romance novels as a developmental editor. In the interim, I'm happy to take on beta reading and similar jobs for fictional titles (preferably romance) since I'm reading 8 to 10 titles a month anyway!

Aside from my aspirations, I am a part time freelancer with a BCom in Marketing Management. I spent 10 years in sales and marketing within the hospitality industry before leaving the corporate environment to work as an account manager for a start-up digital marketing agency which specialized in eCommerce across multiple channels. My role evolved as the agency grew, and ultimately built and lead the client success management team. In 2022 I returned to hospitality but on the corporate side, building and leading a digital marketing team.

As a native English speaker and through my work experience, I have developed strong editing and proofreading skills and have grown to love doing this work.

I am reliable, well-spoken and have excellent attention to detail. I work fast, but pride myself on ensuring the quality of work is maintained.
