Film and Media Composer
Liam MacLean is an experienced composer and guitarist specialising in film and media composition. While studying BA(hons) Applied Music at the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI), Liam was asked to score his first short film ‘Baby Steps’ in 2017, which sparked an interest in film and TV music. After composing the music for ‘Baby Steps’ Liam’s focus turned his final year of university, with his honours project being a study on composing for film.
Since graduating from UHI in 2018 Liam has worked a variety of projects - such as a number of singles and short films. Liam has a range of projects coming up in the near future - including more short films, a documentary, and the theme music for Scotland Rugby’s new Super6 tournament.
