I'm a copy editor and proofreader based in Minneapolis, MN. Experience with fiction and nonfiction ranging from paranormal romance to annual reports. Eleven years of working with brick-and-mortar publishers grounded me in a range of genres: historical fiction, nonfiction, alternative spirituality, "genre" fiction like romance, YA, supernatural, mystery, and memoir; while work with ad agencies, journals, newspapers, and newsletters gave me experience with articles, ad copy, and legal. Recent projects include a book about organizing, a first-time novel, and a medical memoir.

For the past eight years I have been working with many more self-publishing authors. As your editor or proofreader, I am not interested in making your manuscript into MY manuscript. My goal is to help you finish your project by polishing, correcting, and expanding your project to the extent that is consistent with your creative goals.

Work Terms

As a freelancer my hours are flexible and usually guided by the requirements of the project. I like to give each project my full attention, so I am unlikely to double book projects. For my work I find it's best to communicate on the platform so everyone has a paper trail and is protected by terms and conditions.
